TAMIHA’s goal is to provide Usa River and surrounding communities with grass roots sustainable projects that will teach members of the community the skills they need to be self reliant and prosperous.

Greetings from TAMIHA and Thank you for visiting our website www.tanzaniavolunteer.net

TAMIHA is a Charity Organization in Tanzania based in Usa River Village, Arusha Tanzania, East Africa.

It is a registered Nonprofit Organization No. 3542 under the Trustees Ordinance and I am the founder.

I am 35 years old and rose as a street child without parents.  It was a miracle that I graduated from my first degree in Community Development with a major in Project Planning and Project Management in 2007.  I am currently doing a Masters degree in Community Economic Development with the Open University of Tanzania.

I have established the TAMIHA Orphanage Center supporting the Orphans who are parentless, homeless and HIV Infected to assure them the best future through achieving the best education. Most of these vulnerable children lost their beloved ones due to HIV/AIDS. Currently we are supporting 100 children from the age of 3 to 9 years old.  On a daily basis we teach them basic language and math skills to prepare them for primary school.  We feed them, we provide them with medical care, we protect them and above all else we give them love. 

Once our orphans finish kindergarten here at the orphanage they need to attend primary school.  Tuition costs for primary school are far too expensive here in Tanzania.  Good teachers need to be paid salaries, good facilities need rent and good school supplied are not cheap. 

Non of the parentless street children in our orphanage have the means to attend primary school.  They need someone to support them to achieve the miracle of education. Your sponsorship can bring big changes for these children by ensuring a more secure, brighter future.  Their hope is in you.

With honor and humility, I kindly request your financial support in sponsoring some of our orphans to attend primary school.  The total cost of sponsoring one child is 600usd (compulsory) per year which is the cost of tuition plus 400usd (optional) for food, medication, clothing etc.
