Accommodation

Volunteers stay at the home of Crispin (TAMIHA's president).  This is called a homestay which is a great way to see the typical life of a Tanzanian family.  Click here to see Crispin's Home. 

Volunteers are free to make alternate arrangements for accommodation if that better suites them. 

Price

The money you pay goes to i) support our programs, ii) administrative overhead, iii) room and board (if applicable), iv) airport pick-up, and v) orientation with Swahili lessons.

Remember, all the money you pay comes directly to our NGO and doesn't exchange hands and get lost with a middle-man.  You will see exactly where your money goes when you arrive here.

Fee Schedule

The additional $120 USD is the cost of the work permit which all volunteers are required to have by law.  With this work permit you do not need to purchase a visa to enter the country. We will process your work permit and send it to you prior to your departure.  Upon arrival you can show your work permit to the immigration officer and enter the country.

Recreation

Our local and experienced staff can also help you find great deals on Safari, Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru trips.  We know all the tour companies around Arusha and get great discounts for our volunteers. We also offer our own Safari and Hike services.  All the fees collected from these services go back into our projects such as the orphanage and HIV/widows programs. TAMIHA Safaris & Hikes

Registration Process
